Found a listing for a fibreglass roof panel. The Auctioneer hasn't a clue what it is off and neither have I, really.
However there is a possibility it might be one of those hardtop in-fill panels for the electric-sunroof version of the R17. It has the holes along the leading edge where it pressed into the aperture and there is a signature of some sort which means nothing to me.
AFAIK the panels were never listed here (or maybe available through Renault Boutique etc?) but there is a chance here for someone to possibly obtain a rare thing if indeed it is off a 17.
The auction house is in Surrey but be quick as it is only a couple of days away....!
Not sure if that is 17, it looks a bit big to me. I had a couple but with folding roofs. I can put something on the classic renault club page if you want.

My 17 wasn’t a “ convertible “ unfortunately it was though a Gordini injection and was as quick as a mates 2000 Beta Coupe. One of my favourite cars although one of the least reliable. I also invented dogging in it on The Embankment one night.

Well it was for a 17 and one of the guys on the Renault classic club has bought it for just over 6 quid with the fee's. At least it went to someone who can make use of it.
It did get me looking on easylive auctions though so I blame you for the fact that I have just bought 3 Alan Fearnley prints from an auction house in Shaftsbury. I now have to pick them up this week and try and find a wall to hang them on. I normally only collect Nicholas Watts Le Mans prints but these are Monaco from the 30's with Bugatti's and Bentleys
