It's Finland that they are being raced mainly in.
I explored that avenue and it seems like all of them come to Scandinavia bare of any trims or silly things like badges.
I have sent messages to few guys selling parts and nobody seems to have seen a badge in years.

DVLA finally produced the V5C and I can go about finally driving the Fiat.

Trip through the continent and seas booked for the first week of August.

In other good news I managed to get hold of both front and back badges and the engine flap lock.

Weirdly the front badge is metal and back plastic. I presume the back is a newer one possibly from the Argentinian version or the front one is from another Fiat

What would be the best paint to redo the metallic bits on plastic?

1. You strip all old paint off with the tried and tested oven cleaner method.

2. You rattle can it rim silver.

3. You rattle can it semi gloss black.

4. You tape some very fine (800 min) sandpaper to a level surface.

5. You carefully move the badge upside down on the sandpaper in a circular motion, until the black paint is sanded off the raised areas and the rim silver is exposed on them.

6. You seal it with semi gloss clear.

I knew I can rely on tiny tat restorers experiences.
Will that excellently written method work on both metal and plastic badges?

No, on metal you can use paint stripper to strip the paint and you can skip the rim silver bit.

I just reread the above and realised that I failed to convey the info I actually wanted to convey properly.

Do not, under any circumstances, use oven cleaner on metal pieces, unless they are stainless.
It contains some hydro chloride bollox, which is corrosive to many metals.

Oven cleaner is often suggested on bike forums as a way to clean chrome exhaust pipes too. Obviously I've never tried it...

Kettle descaler used to be the shiz for cleaning chrome, at least when it had Nitric acid in it.

Finally got to take it out for a ride!
Damn that exhaust is loud!
Will attempt to drive it to Huddersfield tomorrow and than I have everything booked for Sweden trip next week. Little bit nervous about both to be honest as the temp and fuel gauge doesn't seem to work.
