I don't know. I always carefully prepare my trips by filling the tank with petrol, because a tank being empty is the worst thing to have for a trip by car. Then I set off and arrive somewhat later more or less alive. I wouldn't know what else I could do, or plan.

I'm soooooo pissed off with the fucker that was fixing it. What the fuck is this thing coming out? He did not seem to flush this?
Don't fucking get it....

I have flushed the R16 cooling system at least ten times by now, but what comes out still looks worse than this.
Also, a leaking radiator cap does not constitute an FTP.

What about overheating engine?

Car recovered back to the the lock up.

The engine started to stutter badly after 20 minutes of driving. Cut off few times while stationary and no power and big stutter when accelerating away. Was driving ok while at speed but when it started happening at speed I had to stop.
Didn't have any problems like that few days back when driving around.
Engine not cooked and gaskets fine, which is good.

Ehhhh. Suggestions.

What caused it to overheat?

No idea yet.
My suspicion is clogged channels in the block...
But I know nothing. Fucking downer this day has been.
