Your Driving Test. What do you remember of it?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

More likely drivers with no acceleration sense. I see it all the time, slight curve don’t just lift slightly full on braking instead.

I've always engine braked too, sometimes with a touch of brake lights if those behind appear asleep.

Came in handy driving like that when I did my PSV as you need to keep the revs up a bit for air pressure in the brakes. Although one coach I used to drive had a knackered compressor they wouldn't change so every now and then you'd be stuck at a green light with brakes that wouldn't release.

The same ones who almost drive into obvious hazards that you've seen hours before and then they suddenly swerve around it?

Usually the other way around!

I'll leave loads of room in front of me, while checking my mirror every few seconds and cursing the person trying to park inside my boot.

TEN FEET?! You're the world's biggest exaggerator!

It's about two at most.

Having done the hazard perception test twice, that's how they are taught these days. Anyone doing it and paying attention clicks well before the scoring window so fails.

I do wonder how many insurance claims and accident statements start with the word "Suddenly......"

Having also done the HP test twice, some old gits are complete technocripples and fail for not only that, but just simply not understanding how.the game works.

I was lucky, we had lots of practice versions of it for my PSV and that's the time I did it first.

Oddly I remember getting one of the same clips a few years later on my bike test.
