Re: Trailer Trash
Back in the early 80s now with my 18GTS towing my grass track motor.
The trailer was Harvey Frost twin axle with a manual winch. Also when I got it, it was on 24v bulbs. Had to change over to 12v, but apart from that it was a good trailer. IIRC it cost me £100 to purchase from the garage I was working at.
On one occasion the tail started wagging the dog and it was brown trouser time. I did keep it together and when stopped, I moved the car forward on the trailer and we were off again.

Re: Trailer Trash
Yeah mine weighs a ton. Literally. I'm thinking of selling it and buying something newer.

Re: Trailer Trash
Haha no, it was the diesel auto I've had for several years. I got it off sixcylinder as a spares car but did it up and ran it for a while as it didn't need much doing really but then it ended up stood for a few years. It refused to start, back axle seized and it needed welding again. Now I'm having a few storage issues and something had to give. Shame really, I didn't want to do this but I've stripped all useful bits off it for the other two we own. One of which is a keeper, the other may or may not stay.

Re: Trailer Trash
You wouldn't happen to have a decent glass sunroof frame for a zx would you? Mine has gone rusty underneath the glass at the front

Re: Trailer Trash
Today I had a look over the trailer. I knew there were a few bits of rot on the bed that weren't structural so seeing that didn't bother me
On closer inspection though I noticed this cracked collar on the suspension unit. Fresh too, the crack wasn't rusty. The rubber doesn't look too good either.
Best change the indespension unit then, don't want to end up on the Crash Bang Wallop thread. If one has gone though, I'm sure the other three aren't far behind!OMG U OK HUN?
