I bet they ploughed some resources into that as the investigation germinated from the original report seeded into their system.

I've had a good few close calls like that when cycling to work. The worst part is that you get used to it and becomes normalised.
Even a light touch by the wing mirror will send you off and the next place you'll be going is to hospital.

I light-heartedly suggest that you ditch the half-pound of sausages on your head for a long, blonde wig.

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
I nearly collected a couple of cyclists yesterday on a bend as they seem to think it is ok to take the racing line round corners on narrow lanes. They also completely ignore the daft 20mph limit in one village. There is a long downhill section coming into the village which usually has the busy bodies sat at the bottom checking speeds and reporting back to the old bill. (bastards sent me a warning letter a couple of years ago so I am very careful there now) I have little time for the Lycra clad road warriors out there, but I will always give cyclists plenty of room when passing etc even if they still think it is ok to scrape up the inside of your car at the next set of traffic lights that they can obviously ignore.

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
There's a couple of those wizened old cunts in the next village always out in their folding chairs with dayglo jackets and clipboards. I've had a letter about my excessive speed in both Morrises from there. I don't condone breaking a 30mph speed limit but these bellends sit right inside the 30 limit zone on the far side of the village just where it comes off the motorway slip. If somebody is up your arse (probably one of their fucking inbred offspring) you cannot always hammer it down from 50mph just to make their hairdriers not go ping.

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
We have the same at the bottom of a hill just a few feet after the 30 limit sign, which is partially hidden by overgrowth that hasn't been cut back.
It's just after a blind bend as well so if they want to find someone going over the limit its ideal.
If better road safety was the objective they'd move about 200 yards nearer the Primary School and try and stop all the yummy mummy SUVs doing u turns or pulling out without looking first.

That'd be like using safety cameras for safety things like tailgating & lane hogging.
