This is where Transhit drivers win. They can't be done for being overweight when they're on the back of a recovery lorry and it really helps their mpg as well.

Used to love riding and driving on the A507 from Baldock to Ridgemont just before the M1. My preferred route on my way to MK and onto Banbury.
