Just taken the side skirts off my Daihatsu and noticed the sills have been poorly bodged back together And they’re crispier that my sheets in the morning
1.is it an easy fix (welding some new metal in)
2. Is it worth doing/does it cost a lot
If anyone has any ideas I’d be appreciative as I don’t want to see it scrapped

Oof... how long's a piece of string?
Are stock sills available? If I were you I'd cut them both off entirely rather than patching them again, I'd expect the rot to extend into the inner sills and the bottom of the A / B pillars.

Re: Rusty sills (why R V)
I can repair them Paz but I can't afford to do it for nothing. See what sills are available as already suggested. Maybe you could get away with using sills off something else similar as the body kit will cover it? As John says, how long is a piece of string? It could be fine inside but it's very probably not, if you're lucky whoever did the previous repair painted some of the steel inside while they had chance.
I did Jason's ZX16v a while back and he got pretty lucky with what was lurking inside tbh.

Just buy a MiG and have a go yourself. The bill from someone else would be too high. Don't be frightened of welding, anyone can stick metal together, they just think that they can't... By the time you have cut that sill off though, it's probably going to unearth some other horrors. All fixable though.
