Just found this old picture of my first cab. I had the bumpers painted and put the 16" RS Alloys on because I was so fuckin' cool.
It was an 89 2.0i Ghia ( Pinto) manual. I managed to crash it head on into a 205 in the middle of France after getting lost and driving 2 miles on the wrong side of the road. Bit of a result really, as the next thing to come along was aRenault Magnum logging truck!
Anyway insurance repaired it , so I got rid and got a Montego VdP estate for work next.

The talk of rastas with machetes has reminded me of something that happened a few years ago. Working on a site in South London when a load of rastas get out of a van carrying machetes.
The lead guy says we've come for the bricks mon, before I can say take whatever you fucking like I realise they are actually the team to clean all the mortar off the reclaimed bricks and the quickest way they can do it is with blunt machetes....

As we're talking safety and security here's a couple of unsolved taxi driver murders from the Crimewatch UK files.

The first dates back to 1984 and has bonus pre-facelift Mk3 Cortina and Viva content. Fast forward to 29:00

The second is from 1991 and has the poor driver being killed in a Mk2 Cavalier 1.6 diesel. Fast Forward to 14:50

Don't have nightmares.

I'm surprised nobody has guessed why the murderer couldn't remove the ignition key from the Viva.

It had a separate button to get the key out?
Why no fingerprints off anything?

1984 CCTV is clearer than it is now!

Didn't the HC Viva have a fucking stupid button under the steering column that was easiest to push with your knee, leaving both hands free to fight with the steering and yank on the key (usually so you could go off in search of a payphone to get the AA)?
