Re: Classic shows
No idea what the price on an ancient fire engine would be.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

Re: Classic shows
Last Sunday I attended the car show in Stamford accompanied by my Impala which behaved itself impeccably (it's been a bit grumpy of late). Here are some photos what I took, there'll be more as and when I can be arsed.
Lady owner said that her grandfather bought this new.
Apparently the first owner owned this for 57 years. Barring one repaint it's very original. And has Eddie peaks.

Re: Classic shows
Those Standards - of all denomonations - really are miserable things. I like the Grunter estate though, the Z28 and most of all, the A105.

Stunning. What a lovely clean shape these are. Worth any number of contemporary continental marques.

Re: Classic shows
Shame how these long-term ownership cars end up with age-related plates, too. The Rev. has taken my favourites so I will have to have the miserable Ensign and hope it is late enough to have the TR3A engine in it.

Re: Classic shows
The A105 bears its original Oxfordshire index though - they look like Bluemels plates but I stand to be corrected.

Re: Classic shows
Sadly not, they are modern Ace-replica digits on a 2010 Peterborough re-issue. Original (pre-suffix) Oxfordshire UD series ended with YUD806 in September 1963.

Re: Classic shows
Delightful selection there Mr Impala - particularly the shoebox Ute and my favourite cab, the FX3.
