I paid about £1,200 quid to get everything done, but considering the quality of the work & that you can't get new splayed port heads (you can get new straight port heads for £800 or that'd need valves etc anyway) I doubt replacing the head would have been any cheaper if that was possible. The chances are another second hand head would have needed much the same repairs anyway.

Update for this, the rocker box came back yesterday with the new studs, nuts & mushroom tappets. Not the two long fixing bolts though, their supplier is still out of stock of them. I can get the boxes fitted now, I'll just have to wait for the last fixing bolts before I can adjust the tappets properly that's all.

I need to get my finger out to get this one finished, it's just getting towards the bits I'm not sure how to do. Make the new leccy box & work out some proper seat fittings. I need to order wire too, ready to wire it up.

Oh & of course spend £450 on rear sets as the ones it came with are too awful to put back. I need to decide on clocks & order them too. So that'll delay it as I can't afford it at the moment.

Unfortunately not, the straight throughs attracted plod in swarms, again unfortunately

I've been trying to source some replacement rearsets ready for the next stage of the build.

However Norman Hyde (the only ones google knows) aren't making theirs currently so I can't buy overpriced average quality ones.

Barleycorn engineering was suggested on a few FB owners groups, I contacted them & their response was fitting them to a LH gear change bike is a nightmare. So that's out.

Found some others from UnityEquipe, which look rather like what I've got but with more sensible positioning. The place closes at 4pm though so I'll ring them tomorrow.

The weekend looks wet so I might even get some more done on this.
