Problem is, if I give any clues it has a good chance of someone guessing it. Which in itself is a clue...mercrocker wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 10:50 am What is it, then? My money is on a Mars Miner. What else could take the place of the crab that got away?

If it’s an XJS or a Minor of the Traveller variety I’ll be very excited to see it.

You will be disappointed then. However I would like both of them, just my meagre budget can't afford to buy such vehicles.

You're all wrong about 2CVs, they are utterly brilliant! Granted, they do not conform to current expectations but if you accept them for the minimalist device they are and were intended to be, then they are great. I've had a few from the days when they were £100 and thrashed them all to death, never slow down for corners (brakes are shit) and they just grip and grip until the feel like you're gonna deck the door handles!

I can’t even find the car I’m looking for atm, never mind my budgetary constraints.

Nor could I. But I got itchy trigger fingers and did a last minute Sunday evening Best Offer under the starting price on this.
Which got rejected.
So I asked for some more pictures and I got a whole load of blurry ones back. Stuff like this. I upped my offer by a couple hundred quid and won it.

Again out of budget.
This would fit in a Junkman Classics for under £3k thread.

Latest news from Ceri is that the ETA pushed to 1415 due to an accident on the M4 near Reading.
