He's actually one of the reasons I stopped buying Autocar after the best part of 50 years. I didn't buy it to read about his BLM support nor Jim Holders parroting of the SMMT line over Brexit.

I agree with what you're saying. Autocar never challenges the political narrative. Not one word over the demise of the internal combustion engine for example. Their best writer, James Ruppert is constantly sidelined.

I used to prefer Motor, especially when Roger Bell was the editor.
No doubt I'm showing my age again. I'm in the wrong century I guess.

Yes I think so. He passed on around 2008.
