Anyway today was a few smaller passes between Italian lakes including Alpe Di Niggra, which I've mentioned on FB just to upset the fact checkers. Stopped for a picnic lunch overlooking an Italian lake with a castle in, might have been Como. That was on the roadsigns at least
Found the worst B&b in Italy, after 30mins knocking on the door and ringing the bell, I gave up and booked elsewhere. Currently after a refund on booking,con for that one.
The place I've ended up in seems to have a free cat, who I've called Frank of course. I'd left the windows open when I went out to eat and came back to find it crying at me when I walked in. It's damn friendly, but has wandered out on the balcony n vanished, same way it had to get in so I'm sure it's fine

Prepped the Triumph today as off to France on Monday to meet some mates up near La Rochelle next Thursday.

With all these pics I'm missing my foreign holidays but there's no way I'm going to chance being stuck in an airport for 30+ hours with the present cancellation chaos. I had enough of that sort of shit when I was travelling for work, especially after 9/11 when I had to go though 4 lots of security at Frankfurt. The most stupid thing was that there was a suspicious bag in the departure hall which they just taped around few feet away. Maybe German Police tape generates a force field if there's an explosion nearby?
