The new beetle aren't exactly rare or special cars at moment anyway.
What's sickened you with your cars SiC?
It's ages since we had any updates.
Life has thrown me a right stinker last month and didn't really get anything done. I've been doing bits and piece recently, but after TTgate, my enthusiasm for writing up and doing anything really constructive on forums is at an all time low.
Right now I seem to be developing a chest infection. Even though I have respirators (that I should use more often), it's not really going to be a good idea to be breathing in welding fumes and grinding+filler dust. It's also knocking down my energy levels making things even harder.

Never seen an early Beetle with those type wing grilles before?
They're after-market, as are the wing-mounted sidelamp pods - the car's been modified to accept sealed beam headlamps, losing the side pilot bulbs.
Bloody dubbers.....
The horn grilles are indeed aftermarket, but the bullet indicators and sealed beams are standard US spec for a late oval window - they were several years ahead of us when it came to removing the semaphores in favour of flashing lights that had half a chance of being seen

I think that Pikachu Beetle actually looks quite good. I mean it's not a car modded to be attempted to be taken seriously, unlike some of ones on this thread. The new beetle aren't exactly rare or special cars at moment anyway.
It's a crying shame you can't turn them into Baja bugs or sand rails.

Sorry to hear that. I missed TTgate, what happened?
I know exactly what you mean, I’ve hit a brick wall motivation wise when it comes to the projects, it’s a struggle to drag myself outside and work on them at this time of year. The workshop is pretty cold which doesn’t help.

A trusted shiter part exchanged it at a garage on his way to drop it off for SiC. Never informed him or fuck all. His excuse was the gearbox was fucked when the only problem was the flappy paddles not working.
Bit of a cunts trick when a deal had been agreed.

I will also add that he contacted me asking if I wanted to buy it, rather than the other way around.
