I had a look into the heater fault today as I had left the day clear for my Peugeot to arrive. (the fucker still isn't here, thursday they are saying now).
It was clear that bodgers have been at work so I started with a water pump as sometimes it used to leave a puddle under where the pump is. There was a little leak and loads of red sealant everywhere so worth doing. It seems the last time this was done the twat didn't have a 16mm spanner so resorted to the good old hammer and chisel. Luckily I could get a decent socket on it and fitted a new nut on reassembling. It still isn't right so I will chuck a thermostat in next and then flush the heater rad as it looks like it may of had a stop leak for the water pump at some point. The air con is also not working and it appears to be the feed to the compressor as it holds gas and the compressor works when you give it a live feed. Another job to the list, it is quite satisfying sorting out all the shit work that has been done to it in the past.
