Manuals are out there but rare. To be honest the auto is just fine and you can easily light the rear tyres up if you mash the throttle too quick. This one was cheap and I got lucky with the seller, he spent 4k dollars on it last year. Import costs can be had lower with west coast shipping who I really wish I had used for this one. I am looking into getting an eori number so I can do my own imports rather than relying on some of these rip off companies.

Thinking you will keep it? If flog it, what's your likely retail - presumably well north of 10k?

Saw this one at Haynes yesterday. I never used to think much of then but I've warmed to them a lot. Possibly because I've always thought of them as big, ponderous yank tanks, but they are really not. The tiny Mini is a good size comparison. They don't look ridiculous next to them.

Unfortunately they all go for north of 10k (more like 15k) and out of my budget. If I was spending that sort of money I'd rather get a Cayman.

They are nice old things and as long as mine comes out ok it will be up for around the 14k mark and like you say there are better ways of spending 15k. I am kind of looking forward to driving mine but also kind of hoping I don't like it as it was bought to make money on. The wheel arches and the pointed front do make them a bit awkward to drive though. They are quite small for a Yank but still plenty of room inside except the doors do seem a bit close to your elbows.

I'm a short arse, so I fit into most stuff. There isn't much in the way of luggage space in the back I noticed. Seems like all is out front.

If I get one, I think the only way would be a project in from the USA like you did.

I recently bought a C1 Citroen and fucking hell what a nightmare it is turning into. I was told it was cheap due to light frontal damage but what they didn't say was the brake failure that caused the damage. What joy to take it to the mot and have the pedal almost hit the floor and the car pull sharply to one side. It didn't do it again for a few days and some how or other the tester passed it on the mot. I have put it into daily use being a bit careful of the brakes and today decided to fit a new master cylinder. It seems to of cured that fault but as a reward the power steering ecu has gone tits up. It also has a front wheel bearing whining its tits off so god knows if the bloke even looked at it when he tested it the other week. I thought it would be good having a tester who wasn't advising everything and being over picky but it is pretty worrying that he might be missing stuff. It is so horrid I really can't be wasting time with pictures of it.
The Corvette is still away being repainted and everything else in the fleet is just plodding on looking for new homes. Except the Dodge which has just had a new fuel tank from Rockauto (£67 for the tank but £100 for delivery) Still cheaper than the rip off merchants who repaired the DKW tank. I drained the fuel out of the dodge and it varies in colour from red to muddy brown, I think replacing it was a good idea.

I love our pug 107. Piss easy to drive and park and a doddle to work on. The engines seem to be able to take hammer as well, going off some of the high milers on ebay.

As you haven't included the full horror of pictures for when the ebay listing finishes, let me help!!
It's like the Jag xk150 and a Morris Minor were left without adult supervision
Mind you for the asking price you could probably convert it back and make a profit
