Re: Pug 107 minus mx5 plus Audi A8
An IT company I repped for in the mid 90s had a very Audi focused board of directors. I'm pretty sure I've already told the tale of attending conferences with the sales director and as we were running late due to drinking and shagging tarts in the hotel the previous night we'd have to get changed on the motorway, swapping seats whilst in the outside lane in his UR quattro 20v.
The MD, despite his timid appearance, was a real speed freak. He owned a homologation Group B SWB quattro that he only took to the office once a month. His daily driver was one of those Audi V8 things that look like any other late 80s Audi 100. The thing was, even when driven hard, it didn't sound like a V8.

Robson was telling me this was owned by an arms dealer and he'd pick clientele with it.
I bet it has some stories to tell.

Re: Pug 107 minus mx5 plus Audi A8
For anyone thinking of buying a 16 year old W12 , just look at this 1 year old 6,000 mile W12 I broke on Sunday.
Imagine this was your £10k Audi that had gone into limp mode and the AA man (who arrived within 23 minutes of calling Bentley Assist) says “ Ill plug it in , but I’m not allowed to open the bonnet” Low fuel pressure apparently , it’s been collected this morning under warranty. The thought of trying to run any 21st Century powerful Prestige car on a real World budget is terrifying. Those £10k Continentals could cost almost that in an engine out starter motor failure.

Aye, it's frightening. If mine shits itself I should be able to make my money back in parts.
