To be fair its on 67k now. Its probably on its original. Maybe I'm unintentionally heavy on a clutch without realising due to my weaker left side.

He's a decent bloke. I get very favourable rates. He recovered my escort after the crash free of charge and wouldn't take a penny. He also changed berlingo cambelt for 50 quid. I do a bit of running for him on occasion fetching parts from suppliers if he is tied up in a job. We help each other and it pays out for both of us.

£130 for a clutch change?
It cost ten times that for my fucking van. They did swap the flywheel out though while they were on.

3 piece luk clutch kit is around 65 quid alone and he going to remove flywheel as he's replacing the crank seal. Luckily the van isn't dmf. Sounds like yours is though Paul

Well the clutch was smooth with a couple of rivets nearly exposed, flywheel has a couple of hotspots but nothing to concern the mechanic. Thrust bearing was very stiff and fell apart when removed and pressure plate was stuck on locating pins.
