Well start a thread then, it would go down well. There are more 16s on here than any other car I think?? Your old red one is looking good.

But it is the blue one that has the most interesting story I reckon.

Sold RGH894E quite a few years ago now ,but I saved it nearly 30 years ago.Oldest but one known in the UK
DUK833J I have owned for 43 years ,its been everywhere in Europe and now on around 275,000 miles ,that's nearly 450,000 kms ! Traversed several roads in it now shut to the public as too dangerous !!!

Would you mind if I visited you?
First of all I love to invite myself, secondly being there with the car would make it so much easier to determine which parts I need. Also, you aren't in that county whose name must not be mentioned, apparently.

Thank you so much!

I hate telephones of any flavour with a passion, but I'll try to bring myself towards giving you a jingle one of these days.

I doubt you know me. I'm one of the people who enjoy driving their cars instead of wasting time polishing them and then showing them off on a meadow all day long, hence not many people have ever seen them, nor met me in person.

If it is okay with you, the best thing for me would be to pop by after work when I'm at the Birmingham office anyway. That would be in the 18:00 - 19:00 bracket. Should this interfere with your tea time, please feel free to let me know.
I hope this can be arranged before we set off to France mid September.

I doubt you two know each other. Seize has found his way here via a post I put on the Classic Renault Forum. Some good threads on there but it is now dead so I hoped a few Renault fondlers could wander over here instead.

We have met couple times and traded a few parts. I can vouch for Richard's R16 knowledge, quality of cups of tea and his lovely ginger cat.

If Seize lives in Lincs, I wonder if he knows or knew of Simon German? He was a Louth based Renault 16 nutter who, 30 years ago this year, furnished me with a number of Renault 8/10 parts to complete an 8 Gordini rebuild.

There is also Mike in the county whose name must not be mentioned, but if I understood it correctly, Richard lives in Northants.
