I do a similar thing. Technically, a 1968 Hunter was my first car but as a yellow Alfasud was the first car I bought after passing my test and used my own money for I consider that to be my first official car.

On a similar note, if asked what was Number 1 the day I was born I reply with Love Grows by Eddison Lighthouse as it was top of the charts in America at the time and not I Was Born Under A Wandering Star which was the UK No1 as it's a fucking embarrassing song.
