There's one problem with that. It's a bloody Ovlov.

Re: What Car?
Would be nice but I think we will have to stay planted, forgive the horticultural link to your two suggestions.....Mind you I rather thought one was issued a P6 and a blazer at some point which doesn't look like happening either. Not that I'd weather a fucking short jacket....

She won't entertain that after all the things I've said about the stereotypical owner. And I still haven't fully explained to her the "jizz" thing either.....

Re: What Car?
You are indeed the sensible side of my head. It will have to stay a few more months anyway just on the basis that I need to get two years out of it and justify the purchase price. Spending money on cars I don't like sticks in my throat, though, even just fuelling it.....

Re: What Car?
Can you convince her to drive an estate car. Women seem reluctant about these vehicles at first but once you start planting the seeds in their mind about how much shopping and shit can be put inside they soon come round to the idea.

Honda Accord, every time. Mine is warming up for its 23rd birthday. I use it every day, in all weathers, and its brilliant.

Yeah she'd drive an estate....She had a Pisshat and a Ratsun Runny in her previous lives. She would fill it with shit though.

Re: What Car?
As your old 190e did do well, what about a C Class ? There’s one on Retrorides at the moment that I tried to buy a couple of months ago off Tetleysmooth on the Beige. Although it was £550 then not the £750 it is now.

Re: What Car?
Yeah, I did consider the W202 as a neighbour was flogging one for that kind of money last summer.....Technically they are a fair bit cheaper to maintain in many respects. We used to have them as courtesy cars when the 190E was in dock - she liked the drive but I was less keen. Loads better than the Focus, though....Still on short-list.
