Usually said to me by someone who lives 5 minutes away from work and seldom goes anywhere else.
Like my old boss who'd drive miles endways to save a penny a litre on fuel.
But over a full tank that could be a saving of 60p.
Indeed - or as I used to point out to him, less than the cost of driving the extra distance :)

There are always big queues for fuel at the local tescos while the local jet garage round the corner is empty. All that time wasted to save 20p or whatever. It's beyond a joke.

Is 20p worth half an hour of you life though. As it happens I have no cash atm. I lost my wallet a few weeks back and reported my card lost on Thursday. I'm having to use paypal at toolstation to buy anything. I can't use paypal at m&s and I've hardly and caviar, oysters and don perignon left.
It's a first world problem I suppose

No foie gras then?

Get a Harrods hamper or two delivered, I assume that you have an account there.

Couldn’t you have Harrods make you up a care package and just plop it on the old account?

I blame his butler.
He should be organising the various larders and cold stores.

Indeed, obviously a staff reshuffle is in order.
