1&2: zero
3,4,5&6: 150 psi.
Look on the bright side - you have a very healthy four cylinder engine there.

The other bright side is that if you have a sound bottom end, once that head is done (easy to say, I know....) that Humber will run longer than a Brexit debate.

Head gasket blown between 1 and 2.

Not a major drama. I'd get another head overhauled and ready so that it's a day's work to get it up and running again.

It is extremely capable of being so again! And at less cost than a few hours chasing fault codes on a modern. Or MoT'ing a Jagwah.....

When I get chance I'll start with the simple things like those valve clearances and cylinder head bolt torques. But the compression test is saying a lot, especially between two adjoining cylinders. I am certain it has been overheating in the past due to neglect. Hopefully a chunk hasn't been blown out of the block, but these are pretty bloody strong engines and it would take a lot to stop one.

If it's blowing out of 2 when 1 is blocked then there's no point wasting time checking valves, the head gasket has gone between those 2 cylinders.

I am minded to agree, but with the rocker cover off anyway it's a simple check to make.

This is the answer and as the Rev said strip down the spare head and build it up ready to go. The gasket has blown between the 2 cylinders and hopefully it hasn't worn a groove in the block. No point messing with valve clearences if it is as described it's the gasket.
