Ceri from Walgraves Transport arrived with this on the back.

Unloaded and deposited on the drive.

This is my main fear at the moment and at the top of the priorities list.

That bloody pillar is on the list of things to remove and move. For now it's a case of careful car Jenga.

Found this in the glove box. Explains how BMW lovers got their reputation.

Nice one.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

Looks good enough to press into service once the essentials have been done. I always liked Bronzit and only had one E28 that colour, a C plate 520i Auto.

The body is pretty scruffy. NSF wheel arch at the front has rusted through on the lip. Roof has rust come through on the paint - presumably from bird crap sat on it. NSF wing has a golf ball sized dent in it that's rusty. Rubber trim has ripped sections where it's been caught. NS arches have the paint taken off and gone a bit rusty. Basically the consequences of someone driving past when they should have given up.

However that been said, it doesn't appear to be rusty where it matters. Not that I can see at least.

Wife saw it before I got a chance to give it a quick clean. Her reaction to it?

"I didn't realise it was a horrible colour" then walked off. I did point out it's a similar colour to the Civic we had.

That's a positive result I would have thought.
A lot better than how much did this rusty pile of rubbish cost again?!

Isn't it racist to dislike JRG?

It's good enough though - just touch in what needs doing.

He is. I've used him quite a few times now. Always been reliable, fair prices and done a good job. Everything is done above board with proper insurance and equipment. Even if I could get it cheaper on Shiply, I prefer to support a decent guy from the forum. Having someone you can trust also take a lot of stress out of car buying process. Especially if you're buying sight unseen like I did with the 1100.
