Can't believe you're swapping that for a fucking Mini. E28's are cool cars. Minis are not.

They were certainly cool enough for Charlie Ware to run about in. They were his motor of choice.

Re: 1985 BMW E28 520i
That's bollocks. E28s are utterly cool cars. Iconic shark nose with a straight 6 pushing it along. The old man driving dents add some bad guy in chase scene patina to it too.
After trying to get my MGB out earlier, I did wonder briefly about selling that and keeping this. But the frustration of that car should be sorted by throwing it at a specialist to sort.
Thinking of getting a Mini gives me the same buzz as I had thinking about getting this. That buzz may change when the honeymoon period wears off. 'may' though.
Minis are cool cars too. Different kind of cool - more of a universal cool. These are more cool and respected by the petrolhead.

I know more than one person who ran a proper Mini and an E28 together. Perfect pairing really.

I would if I could afford to.
Going by car movements in storage shed I use, someone runs a Mini MK1 with a 993 Targa. That's some mix.

I can't believe the one you linked to on eBay was £5k! £5k that's a bloody fortune, my last one was £200 plus 4 new tyres and an MOT.... We went to Whitby Gothic Weekend in it and got the date wrong which explained why it was easy to find a b&b.The Reverend Bluejeans wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 9:26 pm Can't believe you're swapping that for a fucking Mini.
