Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

The wee kids that dig out the rare earth metals don't use fossil fuels so the EVangelists should be OK on that frontImageImage

Some of those electric bikes don't give you much warning before they combust! Imagine what that'd be like in your house/porch. More quality products from the great bunch of lads I'm sure.

I've seen them being charged on trains too, to add to the fun.

Too right, why should they go for free?

Tesla are axing 10% of their global workforce with diminishing sales as the wheels seemingly continue to fall off the ‘EV revolution’. I wonder what the clueless meddling politicians will do next to try and force the acceptance of the inferior, if a product is better than what’s it’s replacing and priced right it will sell.

When the share price dipped I wondered if Musky was just meddling with the share price again, but there seems to be something deeper here.

Drew Baglino, Tesla's SVP of powertrain and electrical engineering, resigned on Sunday.

Baglino's departure came shortly before Tesla laid off 10% of its workforce.

The executive had worked at Tesla for over 18 years.

Tesla shifting some manufacturing to China has been a huge success.
Not so much for Tesla but BYD, Xaoimi and many other startups are knocking out no frills clones for the masses.
