It's French, it's beige. Am I on the correct forum?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I had an HiAce camper for sale once upon a time, had ONE couple come and look at it, they poo-poo'd everything about it, reckoned it was rusty, rancid and old and far beneath them.

I gave it to a friend in the trade who stuck it up for sale down in that Cornwall and the same couple bought it! They reckoned they'd looked at another one that was nearly identical, but MUCH rougher (my mate had done nothing to it, not even cleaned it from its sojourn into darkest Pastieland) and they reckoned the bloke selling the other one was 'well dodgy' and they were so glad to be paying a little bit more for a better vehicle.

I got more, my mate got a drink and when it went wrong (yes, a Toyota that failed) they got told to fuck off whereas I would have fixed it free of charge. I was like that, always straight and so much poorer than my friends...

Yesterday I went down to Sussex with my brother and picked up his Trafic EribaCar, I drove his missus' Focus back until we reached the A11, then we had a swap and I drove the Eriba.

It is a lot nicer to drive because it is a 2 litre and therefore is slightly quicker on acceleration, it doesn't take half as much effort at also speeds because it has power steering, also his cab interior is clean and tidy.
Overall his is a lot cooler than mine.

Today we took them both out for a picnic, then I brought mine back home to pick up the picnic, then I drove back.
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself and when she needed the loo it was no problem, this makes my day a whole lot easier.

When I got home the drivers window wouldn't wind up and then fell into the bottom of the door when I tried to sort it.
Last night I locked the drivers door and the barrel stayed on the end of the key when I withdrew it.
Meh, still better than that bloody C Max.

On tuesday I picked my daughter up after work and we cruised through Wroxham singing the Max and Paddy theme tune, with a slight change to the swear word in it.
We carried on up to Walcott and parked up next to the sea, where we visited a shop and bought some condiments, then we waited a couple of hours until the chippy opened and had ourselves a chippy tea in the "campovan".
We both had a really nice afternoon and I could feel a lot of my stress about life in general dissipating.
We set off to take little un home and on the way back the exhaust broke off at the manifold, so all the stress just came back.
That left me with no way to get to work, so I had to limp the van to my brother's house twenty five miles away and borrow his missus' car.
Luckily by the time I finished work on wednesday he had got his neighbour to weld the exhaust and all was good again.
On Friday the windscreen wiper split, but I have now got some window runners and can fix the front windows.
I have no pictures, I took some on my mobile and sent them to my tablet where they have just disappeared.

Worst I've experienced is the piss yellow trickle of 6V headlights on the DAF 44 I had.

On my 33 there wasn't enough lead in the dynamo's pencil for you to tell which end was the front at night.
