Does this count as a Barn find?
So, is this a ‘ barn find’? My barn, I knew it was there - I’ve just been given “ permission by Management” to retrieve this & the other Italian/ German nonsense.
When my 1st wife stitched me up, big time, I hated women. Used& abused, using the toys to pump/ dump. Easiest thing in the world to ‘ accidentally’ reverse a rubber bumper 911 turbo or SC into their car ( never doing any damage but with a very high success rate).
My (2nd) wife worked out that she was one, of several, taken in by these ‘ reprehensible’ tactics. Once she got past the anger, we agreed that they would be used for our wedding - then barned. And there they have sat, dry & dark, since the Millenium.
I’m now reaching pensionable age, my ‘ wandering’ days have passed & she’s agreed to relax the rules. So this morning, I extracted this, the one on the top.
It’s an 84 Mondial QV, 3.2 from memory. Pretty low mileage, with a full history - till it was laid up.
A cursory glance shows it substantially sound, sills seems ok, but I’ll investigate in a few weeks. The engine is the biggy - if it’s seized, and belts are a nightmare (unless the lumps extracted) . Anyway, it’s the first of several “ exotic” 4 seaters - needed to motivate customers & clients back in the 80’s. Heady days…
Next down in the SC- much more user friendly.

Nice number plate on that. Complete with the obligatory strategically placed white fixing.

Keep the dirt when you wash it, you can sell it on ebay as genuine barn dirt for others to create barn finds with.

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the SC.
I have an early SWB 912 that I essentially swapped for my last SC. The SC was a fun car and quite quick - well, it could keep up with the wife’s Aldi people carrier anyway. The 912 has no hope!
