Onslow's gone French.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

The shredder is the best place for it.

You can waste your life trying to keep shit like that going. Not worth the agg.

I am generally the last owner. I bought my current cars in 2003 and 2017, neither are for sale.

I will be buying a winter shitter at some point but it will be disposed of via copart or similar when it's wanked out.

Noticed the other day my brake lights weren't always working and the high level didn't work either. Under the glove box is where the brake light switch is located so swapped it over for a new one.
Still had a wonky high level light though and occasionally the electronic boot release would pop the bout catch. Yesterday I noticed there was water in the boot and the wiring harness rubber boot wasn't seated properly. That explains the ingress of water.
Stripped all the wiring out of the boot from lock, wiper motor and high level light to get the rubber cover reseated and found it had a pretty poor "repair" of the wiring going into the boot hatch in its life. That would explain the erratic brake light and boot lock.
Ran a fresh earth from the earth point in the boot up and into the wiring harness and cut out each wire individually to solder in a fresh piece of wire on each of the broken pieces. Reassembly is reverse of removal and job jobbed.

You should see my electronics collection. Numerous soldering irons of various power, oscilloscope, probes etc as well as resistor testers and other stuff
My friend is going into sheltered accommodation and has sent pretty much all his tools and electronics stuff. Still no idea what to use them for or how to use them but I do know how to solder. Got a toolbox full of gas irons, pencil torches, soldering irons etc.
