Well, Drew was shocked. He's not unhappy though.
That in itself would be reason for a multi paragraph rant on the beige.
It's a really nice thing you are doing.
Thanks! He's my little brother and he's been an absolute rock over the years and quietly carried a lot more than he really should have had to, but quietly gets on with it.
He deserves something nice.. I'm not sure an Ami is a nice thing to do to him, but he seems happy.
Getting stuck into this now, everything seems to unbolt easily enough but everything is a different size of fastener, everything is a bit rusty and it's all very much what I expected for a cheap Citroen.

Anyway as some will have seen on the other forum I've been at this evening's and weekends, and Drew is shopping for the bits I might need.
So far there's what appears to be a flywheel oil seal leak that needs doing, the brakes which I knew about and discs and pads were supplied with the car, there's a load of missing and loose clips that hold things like brake and fuel lines in place that I need to do as well, so he's going to send me the parts and I'll fit them.
The inner wings are badly repaired and very thin in places so I'll have to beat some metal around and make something better up, as I'm not happy with these right now. They're just a flap of bolt on metal but given the car has been whacked at the front before I don't know if they're the right shape or not and that'll make getting the front to sit better awkward so ideally I'll find some good ones to use, but if they're utterly unobtainable then a repair and rebuild it is.. very thin metal though so it'll be a pain.

Let me know if you need any panels or rare bits as I am out in France twice next month and can try and find them for you.
A good pair of inner wings would be superb.
A not shagged pair of front seats would be lovely too.
.
How about these. I will have to ask one of our european members to enquire about them as Leboncoin have decided to lock out accounts from the UK so I can't contact them but he has loads of bits and is on my way home from Le Mans. https://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_auto/2329300146.htm
