Cars For Sale on the Roadside (not eBay)
Here is a couple to restart an AS thread that was removed.
It was months ago that I first saw these two Land Rover Santana's, and they are still there. Details on a bit of A4 paper on the side windows, but no prices
They do get moved around from time to time, so obviously runners.

Does anyone else have an unwritten rule of never even bothering to enquire on a car for sale with no price on it? The only times I've ever bothered the owners were absolutely, totally unrealistic on what they thought it was worth so I simply gave up asking.

Not just on roadside but internet adverts too. Even worse are no prices but then saying "stupid offers will be ignored". With no idea of expected value, any offer could potentially be a stupid offer in their eyes.

Yup, if they won't name a price then it's not really for sale.

Not just cars but anything at all ever. Usually stuff owned by some septic dick who reckons everything he has is worth a fortune and he once saw a 250GTO sell at Sotheby's for 25 mill so that makes the rotten pile of scrap in his shed worth easily double that.

See quite a few cars here parked by the roadside with a printed "Venta" sign in the windscreen, bought from shops run by those great bunch of lads.
They are always cars I have no interest in, so don't bother stopping to look to see if there are further details anywhere inside them. Perhaps I should stop at them now.

I have an unwritten rule never to travel into Birmingham to buy a car. Every time I have the car has been a hunk of junk.

Anything for sale with no price, best offers (but silly offers will be ignored) or POA is a time waster, especially dealers. POA means they can't value it.

Mine is Keighley or Bradford, in fact I'll rarely travel more than 20 miles to buy a car, which kind of limits choice as there aren't really that many people living in the Lake District.

I saw a Scorpio with a for sale sign around the corner today.
