Hello,

I've been a member of the other forum for a while now. I'm taking the leap over here. Currently working on resurrecting a Celica T-Sport that needs a spot of light* welding/ brake overhaul and some minor suspension work.

Yeah, it's a bit frilly!. It's spent years doing little miles and being unwashed/ sat halfway under a tree, so I think the sills have been sitting full of watery crud allowing the rust to set in. Thankfully subframes are ok.

Hello and welcome.
That looks like a 90's mx-5. I thought toyotas did rust protection.

None of this showed up on it's recent MOT failure, which I guess shows how much is hidden underneath sill covers and plastic panels!
