By what I've read they have an experimental plant in Chile and mass production is going to be eye wateringly expensive, OK for GT3 owners I guess.

Not sure how this would cut Co2 emissions? If I have read it right, it’s recycling Co2 but I assume it’s not net zero, even if the manufacture is powered by renewables. Also the fuel has to get distributed by road I guess

In my opinion it's a desperate attempt by the Gemans to kick the can down the road hoping that a miracle happens, which it might if the airline industry switches to synthetic fuels although I imagine Michael O'Leary will have something to say on that.
As you say it appears to be recycling CO2 but I assume it's said to cut emissions when compared to petrol.
