5 years ago I had this well clocked Mondeo with a probable mileage of about 400,000+ It was a 1.8 diesel and I made the mistake of assuming that if it'd covered so many miles then it'd had the wet belt swapped for a chain. I snapped its wet belt a few weeks after I'd ordered the brand new Ioniq thus cheating me out of a chance to roffle it over on the beige where I'm sure our very own Bournite would've snapped up every ticket. I can't remember what I paid for Millie but it was a lot less than a grand, I think it was £800 with whatever plate was left on it.

Ten years ago I had this beauty. I saw it for sale on Gumtree for about £300 with tax and test. The easiest collection caper ever as the bloke selling it lived six doors away on my road! I owned this at the same time as the Kawasaki G*****S that I've moaned about at length on here before. The Renner was one of those cars that would start first time 9 out of 10 times but the other time it'd need a bump start. I bridged it after it pissed me off.

Although I don't have a picture of the actual 306 concerned, two decades ago I was using a 306 NA diesel this colour as a PH car. The timeline of me using this 306 is confirmed by the fact that at the time Southampton were in the cup final and on midsummer night 2003 I listened to a Bonnie Raitt live session on the Bob Harris Show. The 306 met its end when the cambelt snapped despite my assurances from the vendor that it'd been changed.

30 years ago, an F reg metro in white, on finance (only car I've ever had on tick) that I piled into a bus stop pissed. And still had to pay for. The council also sent me a bill for £150 for the pole and sign (cunts).

Come to think of it.

30 years ago a 1982 XR3i and I remember the reg number but as I use it as a password in a few places I'll not say it here. Also 30 years ago then GF had an Escort 1.3GL estate. ADM177W IIRC.

My white metro was F463 HCN. I only remember as I had the smashed number plate on my bedroom wall.

About 20 years ago I paid a grand for a black 944. I wasn't that impressed with it.
I did learn to skid with it though.

The thing is, as strange as it sounds I've never liked the 944. No idea why though?

It wasn't fast at all considering it was a 2.5. Your average family saloon was quicker.

The 2.8i Capri had the same power and a faster 0-60 time.
