Having spent 20 years living in the South East I heartily agree. Maybe it was the various places where I lived but the number of pretentious poseurs who tried to project the image of being wealthy and successful would probably have even embarrassed weewee. That their houses were built on sand became obvious every house price crash, recession etc..

You've seen my back yard.
You've seen outside Tommy's
You've seen Joe's barn.

Even Smoking Woffle moved up North, although he's the only one I know to admit to living in Rotherham.

Given the bollocks he's come out with on the beige would Rotherham own up to him living there?

Outskirts of Sheffield is where he says he lives now. Whiston for those of us who know (and had to go to his house to get their OPCON (Vauxhall software) )after loaning it him) and laptop back.

Re: Cheeky / Nosy Q - where do y'all store and work on chod?
There are cunts everywhere, believe me. Wiltshire is a big county and has some nice bits and some shit parts. If it works for you financially then go for it. As regards the original question I have to rent one lock up from the council and share a van-shaped space in a local farmer's barn.
Security at the battery garage on the nearby council estate is not bad - I purposely chose one in view of about a dozen houses instead of being round the back of gardens. Two of the "neighbours" there have my phone number and always let me know if there is some concern. It is dry and being in the centre of a fan-shaped block I have enough room for either Morris or the Focus (at a push I did get a W116 Mercedes in there) plus sundry bicycles, boxes of spares, car boot sale shit etc. I refrain from working there as I don't like drawing attention to it - just walk up, grab the car and fuck off. I also got warned off from fitting additional security devices or anything else that makes gyppos think there is summat in it.
Space up the barn is secure, dry but not that warm in the winter when I would be most likely to want to work up there. I generally keep my access to working hours or weekend mornings as that is when the farm is working. It is bloody cheap for what there is but a bit remote making it not very cost effective to keep wanting to go up there. It is actually, funny enough, a dog's slash from the Wiltshire border. The other end of the county due West is about 75 miles away and even further North-Westerly.
I would dearly love to accommodate all my vehicles at home but there is no scope to do so and I am not prepared to go and live outside of Hampshire (or Wiltshire....) to achieve it. I have considered Lincolnshire many times and it would make a lot of sense but domestic harmony would be unduly impacted if I uproot Mrs Rocker from her own family.

Thanks for reminding me that Brian rents a lock-up from the council for his BX.

I can confirm this is an outright lie for the region 20-40 miles south of London.
Would rather be back living in a pit village with 50% unemployment any day of the week

Seems like so many here think "The South" is just London and the South East...
I think it was The Rev that said you need to keep west of Newbury. That's a whole lot of land if you take it from there.
