Fire!!!

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Best thing to do for safeties sake is throw them off the ships before they even get here. EVs aren't the answer to anything, except how to make money from fools who believe the lies that they are green.

Which reminds me, I saw exactly zero of them in Germany or Austria. I can only assume they built them whilst laughing that 'Ve lost ze war, but ve can still see ze world burn' and exported every single one of the fuckers.
Perhaps they were not meant for transport but were actually remotely deploy able incendiary munitions, a four wheeled sleeper cell.
The only bit they got wrong was getting them all to go off at once.

How many were in Hawaii until recently ?

I have nothing against VW camper vans, my Art teacher and her husband had one and they were both twats, an L reg in white and faded orange.
It is probably still going after they have croaked.
My aircooled VW loathing stems from my very Ex Wifes 1602 Beetle in Gangrene Green that would shit its spark plugs on the Joburg ring road every time I got in the passenger seat.
There are places with a lower risk of stabby stuff happening where you could break down and climbing a hill in the dark, on a motorway, in second gear, with a township on BOTH sides of the road made my arsehole twitch.
I am possibly here only because one of the spark plugs stayed in.

Ideas for what?

Ben
Ways of dealing with a high energy fire that supplies its own oxygen. Or how to drain a battery to less than its design spec without access to the manufactures own specific data/technology to make it is safer to deal with and store after an accident.
Better ask SiC.

I was just complementing him for his post.

Ben
That's a copout Ben. Thought you'd do better than that.

I believe they do have their place but not what the new messiah to many have been sold.

Politicians mostly...

In the end maybe? Just not in the immediate timescale.

Milk floats. Local delivery vehicles. Microcars.
That's about it.
The rest is pointless and dead-end.

I don't know about the UK, but I read that Copart in the USA have a rule that any ev's in their yards have to be 15 yards from any other vehicle, as they have had problems with them igniting before.

You lot are meanies.

We need a Mrs6c on here to put you all on the naughty step, or in Paul's case one above it so his balls aren't a trip hazard to anyone going past.
