Same as the lights but I think I got that a bit wrong.

I believe in the mid seventies Citroen refreshed/modernised the 2cv6 and 4 range (602cc and 435cc) with the square lights and big dash and plastic door interior cappings.

In about 77? a run of 2cv "specials" was introduced as a budget model with bodies of the older style with no rear quarterlight (termed a "4 light body"), round lights, small dash and strap pull handles on the doors. These were available in just 2 colours, red and a slightly greenish yellow. This I think had the 435 engine and might have marked the phasing out of that smaller block.

The higher spec cars (big dash square lights etc) were then designated as "Clubs" and the Special received the 6 light body style and 602 engine but remained as the budget "base" option retaining the round lights, small dash etc.

I think the Club was phased out in the UK in about 82/83 with the high spec version for UK owners being the Charleston. This was released as a limited run in 1980/81 as a two tone (burgundy and black) in Club spec with drum brakes, square lights, big dash, and a special model specific hounds tooth check seat fabric. The Charleston then was made a permanent addition to the range but with disc brakes, round lights and a grey diamond velour-ish seat fabric and an additional colourway, yellow and black. Yellow and black was replaced shortly afterwards with grey/grey. Europe kept the Club/Special option until the end of production as far as I know...

...but then again I'm no where near as geeky as some people, so that all as best as I understand it!

Yes I think so, I have a brochure with both anyway!

But it's a good question, I'll have to check!

To buy one Deux Chevaux, Ms Blue2cv, maybe regarded as misfortune, to buy two looks like carelessness.

I don’t think we ever got 4 light 2cv’s or 435cc ones in the U.K. after the 2cv6 relaunch in 1975.By the time we got Specials (1980) they were all 602 and 6 light.
Citroen brochures don’t mean much, I’ve got one somewhere ( in English) that suggests Dyane 4s, 2CVs, Acadianes and 3 door estate GSes and Vans were available. None of which ever came in RHD in 1973/4 !

My Dad bought an import 1970 4 light Dyane 4 in 1976 from Belgium it was P reg and everyone thought it was brand new!
