Cars you never wanted but ended up with and quite liked.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Far less shit than anybody who has not ever driven one thinks.
I've got a 2011 red one and it's brilliant. Looking forward to driving it again if I ever get it back off my fucking ex.

I was mortified when I was given the keys to a Ford Scorpio when my peers opted out of the company car scheme and rocked up in MX6s, fast beemers etc but I loved that car. 12v 2.9 estate and the most comfortable car I can remember.

Renault Laguna II Tourer (estate) 1.9DCi. I always thought it was a good looking car (pre facelift) but knew they were unreliable toss. But it was very good as well as being comfortable, good on fuel and nice to drive.

Vauxhall VX220. I laughed and laughed and laughed at the idea of Vauxhall building their own Elise then after a couple of years shut up and found out what it actually was. Went and bought a new one and found it to best thing I've ever driven. Had it ever since. Once I stop needing four seats for the school run I will start using it again.

Fiat Doblo 1300cc diesel. Only bought it because I needed a car, the dealer was desperate for cash (just after lock down stopped) and, comparing it to others, it was well underpriced. Intended to flip it after a couple of months for a profit and buy a Mercedes estate.

Three years on, I still have it. So bloody vesatile-can get two full builders rubble sacks in it, has loads of head and leg room for passengers, and was comfortable driving the 600 miles up to Marsailles in one hit.

Could do with a bit more speed and better mpg, but they are minor gripes

Quite a few of the bands, DJs and record dealers I know use Doblos and swear by them. Once you get past the looks....

And that's true of our Roomster, it's like the front of one car fixed to the rear of another and with weird windows.
