Some car colour names are awesome. My faves are old Mopar colors from the 70s.
Go Mango
Plum crazy purple
Sassy grass green
Top banana
Green go
Panther Pink
Vitamin C
Tor Red
Lime light
Lemon twist
Citron yella
And a proper Ferrari should aways be .. Broon!

I'm not sure that this is the best colour for a GK but bugger me it certainly looks the part.

That picture, lovely though the colour is, has brought my number-plate rash on.

Re: Car colour choices
Mention of Rover reminds me that they went through a phase of having some really nice colours.
I loved Polynesian Turquoise and thought the 200 coupes looked the mutt's in them (apols for wanky chrome grille)
They also had Tahiti Blue which I ordered my MGF in. However, here's anoth 200 coupe because they looked really good in it too.

Re: Car colour choices
I still do not think of Rover 600s as being in anything other than Nightfire Red....
A truly iconic colour.

Totally agree about the plates. Should i get the one im after, it will have proper plates and the correct wheel trims...minilites are nice, but not correct here.mercrocker wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 9:58 amThat picture, lovely though the colour is, has brought my number-plate rash on.

Re: Car colour choices
That Ro80 looks very close to what Mercedes-Benz referred to as Petrol Blue. My 280E was that colour although it was slightly less attractive two-toned as it was with Oxide Red. Still, in my opinion, the best colour for a W123.....
Better than that Dogdick Pink they did, anyway.

Primer beige always made them look unpainted too.
