United States of GRIZZ - Just how random do you want it?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I have a similar drawing of me with a thickly black-crayoned rendition of a Morris (pretty damned good, actually) done by youngest grandson when he was in Infant school.

Always amuses me, too, that children's perceptions of cronky old cars still tend to resemble Austin Sevens......
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Well……

Fill is headed back as I type for a rematch

Also, a trailerload of electronics to try improve my my WiFi reception inside the house, down to the ‘Lil Shed and my workshop area.

Great when you have friends who know their router from their route planner.

But here’s where we got to.

Some revision and changes coming today.

I will be doing a second observation video after todays updates.

Upload as soon as I get the time.

Video of the test and subsequent observations for your enjoyment

Elli is super observant.

I always got a drawing from her when they visited.

She is 12 now and her art is really improving constantly.

Slightly better weather yesterday.

Another hugely productive and entertaining day spent with @sparkplug for company and doing a shedload of work.

Diesel heater reinstalled and working beautifully.

Photos and a video to follow for those interested in this revision.

BONUS INSTALLATION: Remote WiFi installed down in the woodwork shed after trying it in various locations.

Fil did a load of work on the system to create a seamless connection from the house to the garage and carport.

Historically I had almost non existent internet and WhatsApp down at the shop.

Now we are Rocking

Thanks Fil.

A quick bit of “ upholstery “ for the diesel heater pump and filter housing.

Revised and refitted the diesel heater to function much more as it had been planned for.

Moved the electric pump and filter outside, onto a ppst and surrounded by a 300mm or 12” inner diameter pipe of about 18” or 45mm
Then added a reasonably silent, padded lid to it.

Now ypu cannot hear it at all.

Thrre is one small job legt and that will be to route the air intake filter outside as you can hear it sucking air.

The actual diesel heater is silent once you have started it up.

Video of a few things done.

I am really pleased with the final second version of this heater.

It is also super efficient in heating this 25 square meter or 75 square foot space.

Insulation clearly works well.

So on revision of the heater installation I realised we should have mounted the pump outside.
The resonance of the shed with a raised floor unfortunately was worse than expected.

The exhaust manifold is a tongue in cheek application.

Thanks to Fil @sparkplug for not just installing but also researching and advising on this build.
And then going even further when it came to helping me get WiFi down at the bottom of the garden into the garage, ‘Lil Shed, carport and woodwork shop .

Payback is never easy but Paying it Forward is.

So hopefully we are all square.

Life is Good

Nice work, hope the Security Cat passes it when he inspects it. As you like him here's a short video of Ruben the rescue cat going for a ride in his owner's very rare 1961 Oldsmobile 88 sedan with super rare three speed manual trans, video was done for an auction site as the car was for sale. Sold for $17k.
