Those IM3 rear seats are very reminiscent of the arrangement on Mk3 Magnette (the first Farina one) rear benches. Shame that wasn't carried over into the 1600 cars, it would have at least given a modicum of MG individuality.

Mention of the Regent earlier (sorry, Eddie) made me smile - not least because I could never understand why we got the Allegro name instead of Innocenti Allegro and Austin Regent!
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......
