Funny thing, if you squint it looks a bit like a mk1 Fiesta without the grille and lights in.

Was it a universal thing, or just in my household that as a kid one learned to spell Mississippi forwards and backwards?
Looking forward to the updates on this phil.

We used to say Mississippi when we were counting seconds:
One Mississippi, two Mississippi etc....

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
So, I spent a bit of time last night thinking about the way forward with this car.
I'm missing a bunch of stuff, I know that already. I don't think I can just get the engine running as it sits in the car and I don't trust it not to be totally fubar, so I think I'm going to lift the engine and transmission out, check them over, see what I need for that and possibly get it running on the floor-at least get it sealed up properly with oil in.
Primarily though I want to go toffee-hammering around the body and find all the places our Artful Bodger repaired with bondo and the places he might have done a slightly better job. I need to get me a welder. And a box of knotwheels.
Task today though I think is to tidy up and make space, then clean up the interior enough to get in so I can sit and make brrm-brrm noises.

Re: 1966 Plymouth Fury 3
Enough of that nonsense, though. Stripped the seats and carpets out to see what the floor looked like- judging that the trunk pan needed replacement, I took a guess the floors would hide some surprises that weren't visible from underneath. Plus, it took an act of congress to get that door open first time.
Worst grot in the car. The sills are solid. If they were bad, along with the A pillars that would've sealed the fate of the car to be broken up. As is, I can let in some new metal there.
