As you may or may not know, I have replaced the nearly dead/writted off D3 with a newer one, hoping to repeat the miles of reliable commuting.
This hasn't gone entirely to plan - I will say it's mostly been utterly faultless however.

Re: Disco 3, electrics, for the diagnosing of. x1
No drive, thunking into gear/out of gear, suspension drops, randomly Parking brake fault etc etc
Basically it's immobile.
Usual culprits -
Cheapo stop/tail lamp bulbs.
Worn brake lamp switch
Battery.
Wiring under n/s/f wheel liner (sounds familiar? thats where the previous one had crappy repairs)

In order -
Brake lamp bulbs replaced with Ring™ ones.
No difference. Bah.
New brake switch ordered. Not fitted yet.
As I was back in office i used the good, non-agricultural battery tester.

I never had Ring down as a quality brand. And I've sold enough of their stuff.

Couldn't get Osram and they do a job. Really cheap is cheap.

However, the battery is u/s.
The 9.0v drop is the killer, not the cranking voltage. New one to be sourced. Will fit the brake lamp switch as well as it's probably the original.
