Re: Place related car names
Yes, and Piccadilly, Park Lane, (Metro) Rio although I suppose Ritz is a building rather than location (pedant)
Have we had Mazda Montrose?
Or there is the Argyll (both Veteran and the 1980s sports car attempt).....
Along with the afore-mentioned Imp/Minx Californians was also the cheap runout Imp Caledonian special....

Re: Place related car names
Fiat Mirafiori
BMW Bavaria (septic edition of E3)
de Tomaso Vallelunga (apologies if repeat)
Warwick GT (forerunner to the Peerless)
I have thought of two more Austin names, too - York and Norfolk saloon variants of 16 and 18 models respectively.
Bugatti Brescia
Railton Cobham (and Fairmile)
Chrysler Wimbledon (a Kew-built Plymouth really)
Austin Tasman (aussie Crab variant) ditto the Kimberley
Be back with more (probably when I wake up in the middle of the night....)

Rolls-Royce Corniche (assuming we haven't had it, I did see Camargue nominated)
I thought it just meant road by the sea?

Re: Place related car names
There's one in Dubai as Mrs Rocker's son was poncing about there last week. Probably does originate as you say from a noun but like Riviera ends up getting appended to certain actual places.

How about vauxhall cresta? Seeing as the cresta run is sort of a place.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

It is a sort of a thing really but as there is (I think) only the one maybe.
However, you can have Firenza - the Italian spelling of Florence.
