BMW E36 touring.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Any idea on a replacement?
No plans to get ride buddy. Had it nearly 6 weeks now and it's just excelling at doing what a car should do. Enough space for me and family, ability to load lug when needed, relatively economical, quite and comfortable. I'm used to french motors. My last picasso had similar mileage to this (185k) and this feels like it's a lot more screwed together. I've only had to lift bonnet once a week to check levels, only thing it uses is screenwash! I also serviced it a couple of weeks ago. When the time comes to replace it I'd consider a 5 series touring in automatic flavour. Unlike me to not have issues with a car but that could be down to previous owners meticulous maintenance of it in his ownership of 7 or so years

Must buy roof bars. Strapped wheel barrow to the lengthways bars with a towel on the roof. I've a lot of box section in the shed and some exhaust clamps.

I used to have roof bars made of 2" square wood & some wing nuts etc. They were slightly* noisey at speed.

Well the universal roof bars are expensive and I've got bits here to do it my way. Some plastic end caps or plates will stop the whistling too
