It was Lot 1 and proceeds to charity. Fucker only made £4125 even with premium that’s a cheap car. I’m going to the NEC tomorrow but apart from a load of scrap Range Rovers there’s nothing in tomorrows action I fancy anywhere near my budget.
I’ve never been to this show before but my Mrs got me tickets for my birthday to help me choose the classic car that’s to be my proper present. I’ve narrowed it down to a P6, Triumph 2000/2.5.
Or a Jag or a Granada. Or an MG Magnette or. Singer Vogue or a, or a ……
Let me know what you think of the show. I was thinking about going this year, but it’s expensive and I just couldn’t be arsed in the end. Anything with Practical Classics in the title puts me off straight away.
I was going to go today. But (£30 × 2 tickets) + (£19 parking) + (£36 fuel @ 40mpg) = £115 for the day. Then extra if I buy anything like overpriced food/water and odds & sods.

While I really wanted to go, that is a lot of cash to see a few old cars and stands in only half the NEC. Can see all that at local shows and that would easily pay for a museum somewhere with (cheap) hotel. Maybe I'll go to the winter one as at least that's all the halls.

20odd minute walk from the (£1.95) carpark alongside hundreds of freaks, kids and grown ass adults dressed as characters from comics. Including quite a few carrying replica ( hopefully) automatic weapons and dressed like Robocop.
Anyway once inside I made my way to the au tin bit, £10 each to go the other side of the fence- Fuck that! I could see from 25 feet away that P6 had shit paint and a general air of neglect about it so not so bothered that I missed it. Had a wander around the halls , if I hadn’t spent half an hour looking at brochures and toy cars in the auto jumble bit , we’d have been done in 2 hours, not very big at all . Some stuff in the “ Barnfind” section that looked as if it had been dug up and only one car that was in any way different of unusual, this Honda:
