Fuck a duck.

Original Borgward too ugly for you?

Then you need the new one. Shit the bed!

The originals were most probably good cars, but look at this fucking thing.

Are Germans not brand whores like the Brits? I mean, we'll buy any shit with the right badge.

But surely Borgward in Germany is about as relevant as Wolseley in the UK. It's been dead for decades - the Bremen factory now makes Granite based products....?

This BorgWhore is actually made in China. But fear not, for the CEO is a square jawed Ayran superhero with a Dr in front of his name. And what a career trajectory, from technical officer to CEO in just 6-8 weeks! I suspect they found a photo in a Men's fashion catalogue and just invented Dr Philip Koehn.

Nice suit btw.

Will be interesting to see how the Germans like these. It seems to be a mainly suv design at the moment for them, with some concept cars.

Can't really believe there is anyone left outside of a care home who is bothered what a Borgward even was. Just another cynical marketing move probably. I am only grateful the fucking Chinese haven't yet dragged out the Riley name, or indeed the Wolseley one.

I have known of this for a while, it's some piece of shit that would have Carl Borgward turning in his grave. Hopefully it'll have some sort of updated Hansamatic transmission that the Great (insert nationality but esp. British) Public are too stupid to use correctly and will subsequently bankrupt the company again. The old Borgward cars were by all accounts excellent and when they ceased production many Germans cried over their beers.

I’m going to stand up for this motor car. The company has filled a vacant spot in the Chinese market as it is today and will be for 2 or 3 years. My brother-in-law and I tested one when he was looking for a motor. It is priced pretty well there, and had a decent feel to it. My BiL is a perfect case in point here. He is one of those millennials who have a totally and utterly fucked up view on anything when compared to our normal references. He is one of those who suffer the generational conflicts such as Chinese stuff is embarrassingly bad, German stuff is great, Chinese stuff is now better than German stuff, China now owns everything, so all German stuff is now Chinese. Watch how we fuck it up. We are the best. Etc etc. in the meantime, a company builds an all-Chinese car with a company well used to partnering with Daimler etc for trucks and buses. FuTian has a decent reputation to be honest. They have been building vehicles since the new open China days in the 90’s.

BiL just heard German. Did that sneer face upon witnessing an Isabella for the first time, and carried on exploring the in car tech like drone camera which somehow gives you a view of the car from above while you are reversing, and reclining the seat to see how comfy it would be to sleep in when too tired to drive.

He didn’t get one in the end.

Would they sell in Germany? Probably would to non-Germans, or a few rural areas that are happy to buy Great Wall cars.
