It's it worth having the tolerances checked so you can rebuilt the other one to the same if this fixes it, then you can start a service exchange scheme with other owners

I can guarantee that the whole lot being worn is the issue.

I would say the only fix is to sleeve that valve.

The lovely* road surfaces around here finished off one of my new shocks.
