Blimey, didn't seem that long ago when I recalled it.

I really hope in the manufacturers original service schedule there was an entry regarding cleaning and lubricating the clock mechanism!

Nope, and that's why people who had the cars at the time said they recalled the clock to be the first thing to quit working in most GM vehicles.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 4:35 pm I really hope in the manufacturers original service schedule there was an entry regarding cleaning and lubricating the clock mechanism!
This one gained about 2 minutes overnight so that's a good sign. I need to go tweak the regulator back a touch towards SLOW.

Thankfully I don't subscribe to that. It's currently having a bath in some Berryman Chem Dip.

Where on earth had that been sitting forgotten for 70 odd years?

Not 70 as it turns out. Upon taking it apart or is evident it's not New Old Stock. However, it is a factory rebuild so all the moving parts are new. So that's good enough.
It was in Ohio. Weird as it may seem.
